For members of the Bernstein investment community we offer preferred rental rates for a vacation home on the German side of the Lake of Constance, situated in the picturesque village of Wangen/Öhningen.
Location
Wangen is a small community with about 1,000 inhabitants with various restaurants, hotels and a beach club. You can rent boats, windsurfing, bikes etc. in the village. It is also a stop of the Lake of Constance shipping lines allowing you to go to Schaffhausen to visit the famous Rhine waterfall there and also all the way to Constance and further. The famous Reichenau peninsula with its world-renowned abbey can also be reached by boat.
The lake itself is five minutes away by foot down the hill. The Swiss border with the beautiful old town of Stein am Rhein is reachable in ten minutes by car. The local beach club can be reached within 5 minutes by car or 15 minutes by foot.
Building
The building sits on the edge of a hilltop overlooking the lake. It is surrounded by old trees and has a comfortable terrace and a small private garden fully protected from the view of neighbors. It is built in the traditional German “Fachwerkhaus” (timber frame) style. There is parking right in front of the house.
Description
The total surface area is 130sqm (pictures below). The house has three bedrooms (two with king-size and one with a queen-size bed) and two bathrooms (one with shower, one with a bathtub). The wood-paneled kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge, Nespresso machine and all other necessary utensils. The living and dining areas have all the amenities you would request (TV, Internet, etc.). The floors are either hard-wood or wall-to-wall carpet.
