Location
Bahia Azul is a small residential village with an independent infrastructure sitting on a cliff overlooking the Bay of Palma. It is located about 15 minutes by car from the PMI airport and 20 minutes from the island’s capital, Palma de Mallorca.
In the village there are various restaurants and all necessary facilities (supermarket, pharmacy, banks, bakery and various shops for your daily needs). All are in walking distance of the property.
The sea itself is 10 minutes away by foot down the cliffs (you can also go by car which is a 3-4 minute ride on a picturesque serpentine road with stunning views on the Bay of Palma). You will find a sunbathing platform there and can access the pristine water via stairs cut in the rocks.
The (more higher end) shopping center of Maioris with boutiques, restaurants, laundries, hairdressers and two additional supermarkets is about 10 minutes away by car.
The luxurious Mhares Beach Club (www.mharesseaclub.com) can also be reached by car within ten minutes. Last but not least the Golf Club Maioris (www.golfmaioris.com) is located in close vicinity (5 minutes by car).
Building
The building sits in second line on a cliff overlooking the Bay of Palma. Its park-like garden (about 1.600sqm) with old pine trees offers a large swimming-pool and many cosy places in the shade. The automatic gate opens to a paved drive-way with a covered car park.
It is built in Ibizan style with most of the exterior kept in white. All windows have wooden Persianas to protect from the sun. It has an open fireplace and central heating in all rooms. In addition, there is a separate private SPA with sauna, gym and shower facilities with a separate terrace on the lower side of the territory, which is fenced in from all sides.
The total livable surface area is 250sqm (pictures below). The house has three bedrooms on the first floor (one with king-size, one with a queen-size bed and one with two bunk beds for children) and a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom on the second floor. There is large bathroom with a bathtub on the first floor as well. The simple, functional kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove/oven, dishwasher, US-sized fridge, Nespresso machine and all other necessary utensils, including a storage room for food/drinks/wine etc.
The living and dining areas have all the amenities you would request (TV, high-speed Internet, etc.). The floors are tiled throughout the building. There are three large terraces and two balconies. Two are oriented towards the South-East for catching the morning sun, two are facing towards the South-West for views of the spectacular sunsets. An additional terrace can be found next to the pool with umbrellas and a covered sun-bed (see pics). All have seating and lounging furniture.
From both floors you have great views of the Bay of Palma. The small street in front of the house has no traffic as it is dead-ended leading towards the cliffs.
Views of the Interior
Linen, towels, etc. can be provided. The place is recommended for up to five/six adults and four children.
